GPs Responsibilities

  • Your consultations and treatment will be dealt with confidentially.
  • Your culture and religious beliefs will be honoured
  • You have right of information to your health treatment
  • The practice operates an appointment system and you will be seen by the doctor in the order of appointment time and not order in which you arrive at the surgery.  If you arrive late you may be asked to make an alternative appointment depending on the time you arrive.

Patient Responsibilities

  • Patients are requested to treat staff and doctors with courtesy and respect at all times (foul language and verbal abuse will not be tolerated in any circumstances). The practice operates a zero tolerance policy in line with the NHS.
  • Please notify the practice of any changes to name, address, and telephone number.
  • Please cancel all appointments that you are unable to attend, giving sufficient notice so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.
  • Please respect other patients who may be waiting to see a member of the Primary Health Care Team.
  • Remember, many consultations are not really needed.  Simple guidance concerning self care often suffices.
  • Please read our practice booklet and watch the video in the waiting room.  This will help you get the best out of the services on offer. It is important that you understand the information given; please ask us questions if you are unsure of anything.
  • Remember you are responsible for your own health and the health of your children. We will give you professional help and advice, please act upon it.
