Dr Hamid's Practice Charity Event's
We here at Dr Hamid's Practice are big fan's of charity event's and we are trying to participate in as many charity events for as many charity's as possible. If any of our patients have any particular charity they wish us to help raise money for and take part in an event please leave a suggestion on here or in our suggestion box.
So far we have taken part in events for Cancer reaserch, Wear it Pink and The Alzheimer's Society. Future event's will be posted on here soon!
'Wear it Pink' Stand up to Breast Cancer 2019.
Dr Hamid's Practice take great pride in taking part in the 'wear it pink' campaign every year and this year was no different. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated and thank you to all our staff who helped with our bake sale.
This year we managed to raise £210.51.
'Wear it Pink' Stand up to Breast Cancer 2018.
We have taken part in the 'wear it Pink' Campaign again this year! We have had a decline in the women at our surgery taking part in the breast cancer screening programme and we hope this has brought some information and understanding to them. We love taking part in this campaign as it brings so much attention to the dangers of breast cancer.
This year we managed to raise our largest amount yet with £273.54.
Thank you to the very helpful cancer research nurse who came and helped give the information and knowledge to all our patients.
'Wear It Pink' Stand up to Breast Cancer 2017.
We have taken part in Wear It Pink for the past two years as it is a charity close to our hearts. The practice baked sweet treats for members of the public and members of staff in our building. We managed to raise £142 for the breast cancer charity. Thank you to all members of the public and staff at Nye Bevan House for there support and donations.
'Meningitis Awareness day' Meningitis reaserch foundation 2016.
Our Practice took part in the 'Meningitis awareness day' which was held on the 12th December 2016. We raised money for the charity that is close to our hearts by holding a bake sale. Members of staff brought in sweet treats for patients and staff in our building (Nye Bevan House). We managed to raise £216.78.
'Wear It Pink' Stand up to Breast Cancer 2016.
We have recently taken part in the 'Wear It Pink' Campaigne for breast cancer in which members of our team baked a number of diffrent treats. It took place on the 21st October 2016 in our very own building Nye Bevan House. We managed to raise £206.20 for the cause which we know as a GP practice effects 1000's of people on a daily basis.
Alzheimer's Society 10k walk 2016.
Dr Hamid's Practice took place in the 10k walk on the 17th September 2016 which take's place at Heaton Park every year. Four member's of our team walked 10k to help raise money for the Alzheimer's Society Charity. The team managed to raise £305 pounds. All the girls were very happy with the result and even more happy with the fact that the sun stayed out for them.
'Wear it Pink' Stand up to Cancer 2015.
Dr Hamid's Practice participated in the 'Wear it Pink' Campaigne for Breast Cancer. We raised £192 for the cause by bakeing and selling home made cupcakes and sweet treats and also every member of our team wore pink for the day. Not all members of the team were 100% on the pink tiaras.
